Brand & Sons Family Reserve Cabernets 2021

Mattinson review of Brand & Sons Family Reserve Cabernets 2021

Brand & Sons Family Reserve Cabernets 2021
$85, 14% alcohol, screwcap, Coonawarra.

This is a red wine with a serious swagger. It’s a muscular cabernet with cocoa, blackcurrant, mint and roasted tobacco characters flooding the palate with flavour, and with strong arms of tannin as an integral accompaniment. This is an imposing figure of a wine. It's flavoursome, structural and lengthy. It’s drinking well now, courtesy of its balance, but it will pretty much cellar for as long as you want it to. 94 points.
