Black and Ginger Cinco Rojas 2023

Mattinson review of Black and Ginger Cinco Rojas 2023.

Black and Ginger Cinco Rojas 2023
$45, 11.5% alcohol, screwcap, Great Western/Grampians.

This is a fresh, nutty, cranberried red wine with drinkability written all over it. It’s a light red, so light in fact that’s its mouthwatering, its flavours written in water-colours rather than in oils. It works though, courtesy of its balance and its breadth of savoury flavours. This wine will work best as an accompaniment to food, rather than on its own. 90 points.
