Black and Ginger Miss Piggy Orange Muscat & Riesling 2024

Mattinson review of Black and Ginger Miss Piggy Orange Muscat & Riesling 2024.

Black and Ginger Miss Piggy Orange Muscat & Riesling 2024
$33, 14.5% alcohol, screwcap, Great Western/Grampians.

This is a dry white wine with texture and body. It’s a powerhouse of presence more than it is of flavour, which is what makes it interesting. It tastes of orange rind and earth, rose petals and almonds, with citrussy acidity and general floral characters running throughout. It’s a wine of genuine interest but it’s also a wine that creeps up on you; every time you take a sip you notice something different. 92 points.
