Black & Ginger Grenache Nouveau 2024

Mattinson review of Black and Ginger Grenache Nouveau 2024.

Black & Ginger Grenache Nouveau 2024
$33, 13.3% alcohol, screwcap, Great Western/Grampians.

This is delicious plus plus. It’s immensely drinkable and more-ish but it also feels authentic and real. Dark cherry flavours, flecks of fennel, earth, ground peppercorn and general roasted spice notes all make delicious contributions. It’s dry and structural through the finish but not at the expense of the wine’s general juiciness or indeed brightness. This is a wine producer who really knows what they’re doing. Buy and drink this; it’s a light-ish red wine and it’s a beauty. 93 points.
