Moppity Lock & Key Sangiovese 2024

Mattinson review of Moppity Lock & Key Sangiovese 2024.

Moppity Lock & Key Sangiovese 2024
$30, 13% alcohol, screwcap, Hilltops.

Sangiovese is a hard variety to get right but this release makes it look easy. Cherry-plum fruit flavours come with both a licorice boost and savoury, tobacco-like edges, with muscular tannin then giving the wine a bit of chew and grip. This wine will light up the dining table. It has food-friendliness written all over it. 90 points.
