Coppabella Procella III Hilltops Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

Mattinson review of Coppabella Procella III Hilltops Cabernet Sauvignon 2022.

Coppabella Procella III Hilltops Cabernet Sauvignon 2022
$60, 14% alcohol, screwcap, Hilltops.

True cabernet. Strong of fruit, stern of tannin, unafraid of leaf-like flavours but still, at heart, driven by bold blackcurrant. Add boysenberry and redcurrant to the show, and a slip of spearmint, and flourish of juicy flavour through the finish, and you have this wine in a nutshell. It feels both unforced and commanding; it’s a wine that feels comfortable in its own skin. It will cellar beautifully. 94 points.
