This is a heavy hitting wine if ever there was one. It’s a wine of brute force flavour. Tar, red licorice, pure raspberry and roasted, earthen spice notes get the job done here, and in no uncertain terms either. All these flavours are delivered in the context of overt warming alcohol, which befits the overall style. 91 points.
