Tenafeate Creek One Tree Hill Shiraz 2023

Mattinson review of Tenafeate Creek One Tree Hill Shiraz 2023.

Tenafeate Creek One Tree Hill Shiraz 2023
$45, 15% alcohol, screwcap, Mount Lofty Ranges zone.

Density of flavour is one thing but structural intensity is another, and this wine boasts both. It tastes of toast, scorched plums, iodine and smoked meats, and as soon as it hits the glass it takes over the room. There’s a wide spread of grainy tannin here, and ample bold fruit, and serious impact, though there’s also a soft, pink-marshmallow top note running throughout. This is the kind of wine that gives heftiness a good name. 93 points.
