Brand & Sons Glenroy Single Vineyard Shiraz 2021

Mattinson review of Brand & Sons Glenroy Single Vineyard Shiraz 2021

Brand & Sons Glenroy Single Vineyard Shiraz 2021
$80, 15% alcohol, screwcap, Coonawarra.

This is a full-throttle shiraz from Coonawarra, and an excellent one. It’s tannic, bold with fruit, warm-hearted and long through the finish. Blackcurrant, graphite, mint and sweet cedar flavours gradually evolve towards sweet redcurrant and dry tobacco-like notes. There’s a thickness to the tannin and a velvety coating to the flavour, along with some alcohol warmth. This wine will live on and mature for a long time. 93 points.
