McWilliam’s Wines Single Vineyard Shiraz 2023

Mattinson review of McWilliam’s Wines Single Vineyard Shiraz 2023.

McWilliam’s Wines Single Vineyard Shiraz 2023
$40, 13.5% alcohol, screwcap, Canberra District.

This is a medium-weight shiraz with both good fruit flavour and enough complexity to keep you interested. It’s floral, spicy, smoky and a touch peppery, but its cherry-plum flavours are front and centre and indeed, are the main appeal. There’s nothing heavy about this shiraz; it’s modern, bright and well polished. 92 points.
