Curtis Family Vineyards Pasha Shiraz 2021

Mattinson review of Curtis Family Vineyards Pasha Shiraz 2021.

Curtis Family Vineyards Pasha Shiraz 2021
$100, 14.5% alcohol, screwcap, McLaren Vale.

This is a strong-armed shiraz but the mid-palate has some nuance to it and, importantly – even at four years of age – it maintains its freshness. It tastes of pure, fresh plum into boysenberry, and has vanilla, toast, smoked cedar and musk flavours layered throughout. There are darker flavours too, straps of licorice and blackberry and the like, but red berries, creamy oak and spicy tannin are where the wine’s real power lies. It’s not hard to see this wine maturing in to something truly beautiful. 93+ points.
