Purple Hands Wines Planta Circa Ancestor Vine Grenache 2025
$175, 14% alcohol, screwcap, Barossa Valley.

This is medium weight and lithe but it feels statuesque as it passes through your mouth. Indeed you can’t help but admire the tight, rigid control of this wine. In flavour terms it’s redolent of lavender, raspberry, crushed dry spices and Christmas cake, with rust and general potpourri characters stitched straight into the fruit. This is some kind of wine. Light, tannic. fragrant and powerful at once; it’s a beauty. 95 points.
