There’s a coil to this wine and it’s going to take time to unfurl. It will be worth the wait. This is a brilliant Margaret River chardonnay, meaty in a way, fine, pretty, an exhibition of finesse, long through the finish and yet tense, and with crushed fennel, pure peach and gentle reductive notes all contributing to the wine’s overall sophistication. There’s a lot going on in this wine and yet the wine takes it all in its stride. Stash it for at least a couple of years and you’re onto something special. 95 points.
