The After Five range is really on song. This is another one to put on your buy list. It’s a firm, robust, almost chewy red – in a good way – with blackberry, black cherry, earth, rust and a wash of savoury-accented notes. It has depth but it also feels refreshing, and the integration of fruit and savouriness is elite. What almost most pleasing is the tannin structure; it has genuine grunt and presence, almost nebbiolo-like. This is a wine to seek out. 94 points – Campbell Mattionson.
