Bold fruit, firm tannin, a general lusciousness but also a clear sense of both balance and control. In short, this is a beautiful Barossa Shiraz. It tastes of sweet plum, peppercorn, mint, pan juices and smoked cream, with pure redcurrant flavour pushing through as it breathes. The tannin here has a curl to it; always a good sign, especially as it brings ample and complex flavour along with it. 94 points – Campbell Mattinson.
