You could ask for little more. This is fruit-filled, developed, soft, bold, complex and well extended. It’s a very good-to-excellent example of a seven-year-old wine. It tastes of choc-mint, pure plum, leather, earth, sweet herbs and orange rind, with smidgens of malt, licorice and cream helping to keep everything running smoothly. 93 points.
