B Minor Grampians Shiraz 2023
$30, 13.5% alcohol, screwcap, Grampians.

This was grown by, and made at, Best’s. Which is a good start in life for any shiraz wine to have.

This is a medium-weight wine with red licorice, black cherry, woodsy spice and floral notes running fluidly and attractively throughout. There’s a smidgen of black pepper to the aromatics and flashes of both salted sage and mint too. Everything feels in good, pleasing order from start to finish. Savoury tannin makes for a positive and satisfying conclusion. 93 points.
