Thorn-Clarke William Randell Shiraz 2021

Bottle of Thorn-Clarke William Randell Shiraz 2021.

Thorn-Clarke William Randell Shiraz 2021
$120. 14.5% alcohol, cork, Barossa Valley.

This is a slick, dense, full-bodied red wine with inky fruit flavour, toast and salted caramel notes, and a high amount of texture throughout. It seduces via its richness, and via its softness. It tastes of bitumen, plums, saltbush and blackcurrant, with vanilla notes tying it all together, and keeping it all smooth. This wine has no doubt been designed to cellar, but really, its charms are open and obvious even at this early stage of its life. 94 points.
