The fluid control of this wine is just something else. This wine is rich and filigreed and elegant and profound at once. It’s also inherently fruit-driven and pure, and yet peppercorn, leaf and cedar characters all weave their way attractively throughout; complexing, expanding, enlivening. It’s a masterclass in tannin management, balance, harmony and polish. It’s also a wine that finishes with emphasis rather than with a sigh. It’s class. It’s an exquisite example of sheer McLaren Vale excellence. 96 points.
