Black & Ginger Grenache Nouveau 2025
$35, 14.1% alcohol, screwcap, Great Western/Grampians.

The 2024 edition of this was a fabulous drink and here we are again with another beautiful wine. Indeed this wine is so good that it marks Black & Ginger as a producer of serious note. This release is meaty, smoky and fruity in equal measure, with sweet, ripe, red berried characters thoroughly infused with woodsmoke and dried eucalypt notes. ‘Smoky’ wines are often quite acrid but this wine is anything but; it’s juicy, complex and delicious. Drink now, and drink (very) well. 93 points.
