Black & Ginger Lily’s Block Shiraz 2024
$65, $13.5% alcohol, screwcap, Grampians.

Gorgeous Grampians Shiraz. It’s svelte and substantial but it’s also bright and peppery. The plum and red cherry flavours here are perfectly – but not over – ripened, and what’s particularly impressive is the way sweet spice, herb and nut characters are stitched directly into those fruit flavours, in the process make the wine feel/taste both complex and delicious at once. Firm tannin completes an imposing but more-ish package. This is top-tier shiraz. 95 points.
