This wine was fermented (wild) and matured in a ceramic egg. It’s a great way to treat a wine – any wine, pretty much – and this method has come up trumps here. It’s fruit-driven at heart but then it has also slate, tonic, crushed white flower and woodsy spice notes whispered throughout. It’s dry, generous and measured at once, with an extra burst of citrus rind and more floral notes bursting through the finish. Yes please. This is very good. 93 points.
