Briar Ridge Dairy Hill Semillon 2013

Mattinson review of Briar Ridge Dairy Hill Semillon.

Briar Ridge Dairy Hill Semillon 2013
$127, 11% alcohol, screwcap, Hunter Valley.

Twist the top on this museum release and the aromas fill the room. This is a scented, seductive semillon if ever there was one. Lemon, slate, wax, lemongrass and toast characters come edged with quince. It’s as exotic as it is beautiful. Both the texture and the power here are quite something, not to mention the complexity. Twelve years from vintage and this wine is singing. 94 points.
