Briar Ridge Limited Release Viognier 2024

Mattinson review of Briar Ridge Limited Release Viognier 2024.

Briar Ridge Limited Release Viognier 2024
$40, 13.5% alcohol, screwcap, Wrattonbully.

There’s a touch of oak in play here and it helps to give the wine a sense of presence, not to mention an extra hit of flavour. This is a bold white wine – in a good way – with powerful flavours of stonefruit, honeysuckle, vanilla bean and sweet/dried herb flavours pushing confidently throughout. You could drink this anywhere, and with anything, and it would stand tall. It’s very good. 93 points.
