Knappstein 1878 Transcendence Riesling 2025
$70, 11% alcohol, screwcap, Clare Valley.

Incredible intensity of flavour here. Incredible purity too. This isn’t like drinking from a cool mountain stream; it’s like climbing up to the source of it. It tastes of citrus, steel, subtle herbs and flowers, sorbet and citrus leaves. It’s fine, fractionally salty, lime-juicy, energetic and more. It’s a ripping riesling with a (very) long future ahead of it. 95 points.
