Knappstein Ackland Vineyard Riesling 2025
$35, 11.5% alcohol, screwcap, Clare Valley.

Fabulous riesling. Intense, dry, slatey and long. It tastes of river stones, lime, steel, curry leaves and alpine herbs – the latter of which gives the wine an aromatic prettiness – though the emphasis is clearly those on cool citrussy tones. It’s the overall intensity of flavour though that really impresses, combined as it is with dramatic length. This will drink well for a decade or more. 95 points.
