Leconfield The Sydney Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2019
$100, 14.5%, screwcap, Coonawarra.

This is a wine of both restraint and power. It presents a deep well of blackcurrant, plum, peppercorn and smoked cedarwood flavour, all of which is complemented by mint, red licorice, tobacco and caramel cream characters. It’s a sleeper of a wine; it will get better and better as it ages, or at least it will over the next 5-10 years. 93+ points.
