Gentle Folk Ashton Chardonnay 2022
$70, 13.1% alcohol, DIAM cork, Adelaide Hills.

In essence this is a powerful chardonnay but then the finish is a masterclass in finesse. The end result is a wine that intrigues as it makes you want to dive in for more. It tastes of custard powder and white peach, cedarwood and bacon fat, the overall impression generous and the finish persistent. It’s yet more evidence of Gentle Folk’s high quality stature. 94 points.
