$34, 12.5% alcohol, screwcap, Macedon Ranges.

I’m happy to report that this return release of Williams Crossing Chardonnay 2025 is excellent. In fact it’s fantastic drinking and value. It features bright-but-intense fruit flavour, clear savoury inflections, sound texture and noteworthy length. All the ducks are in a row here. It tastes of cedar, hay, peach, waxed apples, nashi pear, whispers of fennel and a gentle saline aspect. It’s taut and more-ish at once. 93+ points.
