This is a substantial grenache with beef, bitumen and earth characters rolling beneath bright raspberry, red licorice and red cherry. It’s not overly encumbered with oak; it’s all about quality fruit, which itself comes well threaded with tannin. This is a warm-hearted, solid wine that feels determined to deliver flavour and more; it’s a serious piece of work.
