Deep Woods Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2024
AU$90, 14% alcohol, screwcap, Margaret River.

Take a seat at this wine’s table and you’re in for a great night. This is cabernet in all its glory: deep fruited, fresh, perfumed, bright, structural and long. It tastes of blackcurrant, mint, violets, bay leaves, cedar-cream and licorice – the latter notes presenting as though they’ve been dragged through a field of dried tobacco. It’s svelte, it’s sure, it’s serious and it’s sustained. It’s the full package.

96 points – Campbell Mattinson.
