Moppity Atrius Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

Moppity Atrius Cabernet Sauvignon 2022
AU$45, 13.5% alcohol, screwcap, Hilltops.

This medium-bodied cabernet is high on structure and long through the finish. It tastes of blueberries, anise, redcurrant, cocoa, dust and herbs, the latter adding a stringy, entwined aspect to the tannin and to the mouthfeel. This is an interesting wine. It’s both inherently cool/herbal and ripe/fruity. It’s sprinkled with both chocolate and tobacco. It will always feel and taste like a wine from a cooler vintage but it will age beautifully, and is exceptionally well suited to the dinner table.
