Duff Blewitt Springs Grenache 2024
$45, 13.4% alcohol, DIAM cork, McLaren Vale.

I like to see licorice flavours in my grenache and they are here in spades, red licorice that is, though they are delivered in a context of finesse, and of sinewy structure. We have a very good grenache on our hands here. It’s ripe but not sweet, shows fragrant herb notes without being hard or overt, and feels both serious and openly delicious at once. The long dry length of the finish augurs well for the future too. 94 points.
