The quality of the fruit here is excellent. It’s ripe, it’s strong, it’s bold and it’s balanced. It tastes of peppercorn and blackberry, plum and saltbush, with cedar-spice characters adding that bit extra. The tannin here too is beautifully well integrated, as are the musky-vanillin notes running through the aftertaste. This is a deeply satisfying red wine. 93+ points.
