Flowstone Queen of the Earth Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
AU$86, 14.5% alcohol, screwcap, Margaret River.

This wine is more about complexity than it is about out-and-out fruit power, and that’s a good thing. It’s going to develop very well over time. It shows pure blackcurrant and boysenberry, rushes of mint and tobacco, undergrowth notes and infusions of both smoked meat and cedar. Pencil and milk chocolate characters come through in whispers and the length of the well-framed finish is excellent. This is a wine that benefits greatly from decanting and similarly will benefit from time in the cellar.
