Texture, flavour and finish are all in a good place here. Pears, apples fresh from the farm, citrus, crushed fennel and chalk notes combine with whispers of lychee to create a juicy, nuanced wine that refreshes as it satisfies. It’s an easy wine to like but there’s complexity and interest if you go looking. 93 points.

Henschke is a Mattinson 10-Star winery.
