Hentley Farm Clos Otto Shiraz 2023
$305, 14.5% alcohol, screwcap, Barossa Valley.

Hulk of a wine. It shows a surprising amount of development for a wine that is only three years old, perhaps, but the wealth of flavour and the spread of tannin is both significant and impressive. Resin, raspberry, blackcurrant, leather, chocolate and earth notes come rolled in pink marshmallow and vanilla cream. The most impressive aspect of this wine however is the length of the finish; it really does push on into tomorrow, aided gently by a carry of alcohol warmth. 94 points.
