There’s a strength to this wine. It’s medium in body and in fruit intensity but it has presence; the net effect is significantly more than the sum of its parts. It tastes of red and black cherry, chicory, smoked spices, cedarwood and redcurrant, all of which is complement by firm tannin, extreme sinewy length, cohesion and a good deal of flourish. This is a wonderful release from Scarborough. 96 points.
