AU$38, 14% alcohol, screwcap, Barossa Valley.

There’s plenty going on with this wine – in a good way. It flows through the palate easily and well but as it does it offers notes of orange rind, blood orange, pure raspberry, mint, florals, leather and olives-in-brine. The sweetness of the berried fruit remains the main driver of proceedings but decayed flower, leaf and rind characters keep things interesting. I wouldn’t cellar this wine but if you’re drinking this now or over the next year or two, then you’re drinking well.
