Mr Riggs JFR Shiraz 2024
AU$60, 14.5% alcohol, screwcap, McLaren Vale.

This is a statement of a wine. It’s rich, firm, balanced and beautiful, with tannin that feels as bold as its full-bodied flavour. Blackberry, cloves, scorched plums, fresh cedarwood and choc-mint characters come gently smoked and sweetly ripened. Tannin impresses on the finish, in a positive sense, though the rich juiciness of the fruit continues to propel forward. This is an excellent wine, full stop.
