You get more than you bargained for here. The promise and indeed the hope is that bright, juicy, berried fruit will be delivered in energetic, ready-to-enjoy-now form. That indeed is the case, but there’s also a firmness to this wine; indeed it’s noticeably tannic. This wine is really going to shine with food. Apple-like acidity keeps the flavours racing along but then the brakes of tannin give extra time to savour them. 91 points.
