La Vicomte Authentique Syrah 2024
$30, 14% alcohol, DIAM cork, Pays d’Oc France.

I love the firmness of this wine. I love how fruity it is too, in a context of darkness, and in the presence of nut and herb notes. It driven by black cherry and licorice flavours but there’s enough savouriness, or extra, around the edges to keep its interesting. And then there’s the impressive firmness of the finish, which is something in itself. 91 points.
