$80, 14% alcohol, screwcap, McLaren Vale.

This wine has bit of joy about it. It’s both generously flavoured and well sustained; it presents both red and black berry flavours in balanced measure; and while there are signs of coffee-cream oak everything has meshed into one, supple, attractive whole. There are sweet spice and orange rind notes here too, as a bonus. In fact, from start to finish, this wine puts on a bit of a show. 93 points.
