The throttle is right out here but in the full-bodied, rich, mouth-filling style of McLaren Vale shiraz, this wine is very good. It tastes of blackberry, chocolate, mint, tar and sweet, velvety plum, the aftertaste then adding violet and peppercorn-like characters. The tannin is firm, the fruit is swashbuckling. If you enjoy full-bodied red wine, expect to be satisfied in full. 93 points.
