AU$60, 14.5%, screwcap, McLaren Vale.

Blewitt Springs Grenache and, as is so often the case with grenache from this sub-region, it’s an absolute winner. It’s the combination of fragrant, red-berried, fresh-faced fruit with dry, sinewy tannin that does it. Orange rind notes, florals, darker berry/licorice characters, sweet spices – they’re in in here, and they’re all working for the wine’s common good. Love this wine.
