AU$60, 14.5%, screwcap, McLaren Vale.

This is serious gear. It’s bold but it’s structural, dry and certain. It tastes of roasted plums, black cherries, redcurrant, peppercorn, earth and leather, the latter adding a mellow softness to the wine’s overall firmness. Indeed despite this wine’s stuffing it’s in remarkably good shape for drinking right now.
