Monty’s Leap River Hawk Shiraz 2024

Bottle of Monty’s Leap River Hawk Shiraz 2024.

Monty’s Leap River Hawk Shiraz 2024
$40, 14.5% alcohol, screwcap, Great Southern.

This wine combines fruit ripeness, cleansing acidity and a general savouriness to good effect. It tastes of fresh boysenberry and black cherry, undergrowth and leaf matter, with clove and black pepper characters riding over the top. It’s medium in weight and fresh-feeling, with a fine mesh of tannin pulling nicely through the finish. 90 points.
