This is rich and ripe, even at eight years of age, with blackcurrant, honey, soy and cedarwood characters ballooning throughout, and mint, bay leaf and violet notes rising as it breathes. Despite the volume of flavour this wine remains svelte, fresh, harmonious and expressive. It’s a pretty cabernet, in a way. It’s beautiful drinking right now.
