This is a nine-year-old wine and it presents with clearly developed characters, so what you’re getting is not a young fruit bomb, so to speak. With that out the way let me just say: this wine is terrific. It’s minerally, it’s still fleshy with red and black berried fruit, it has a clear graphite and iodine element, and in a developed context it feels and smells exceptionally buoyant and alive. It’s medium in weight but it has it all going on; start, middle and finish. 94 points.
