Coppabella The Crest Chardonnay 2025

This is an unusual chardonnay in the best of ways. It’s fluid and refreshing and quirky and strict, which should be a contradiction in terms and yet somehow it works beautifully. Lemon curd, white peach, chalk, honeysuckle, brine and talc-like notes come braced with acidity and run through with silk. Time will be very kind to this chardonnay; indeed it arguably needs another 2-3 years to start drinking at its best. 93+ points.
